1. PAINTING TOOLS

  • Use a good quality roller cover.
  • Use a good quality brush.

2. SURFACE PREPARATION

A. The New alaster Walls

  • The new plaster walls need minimal 21 days to cured completely. Moisture should be < 6 % ( check it by Protimeter), these must be cleaned and minor cracks, holes, leakage, and loose plaster must be repaired.
  • All cracks should be covered with sealer, make sure there are no leaks.

B. Previously Painted Surfaces

  • Remove loose paint and powdery substances.
  • Determine and repair any cause of excess moisture before repainting.

3. PREPARING THE PAINT

  • Choosing the right paint and calculate how much paint to buy.
  • Stir well before use
  • Use appropriate clean wafer for thinning

4. PAINTING PROCESS

  • Limit the wall putty utilization, for minor cracks only.
  • Applying primer is a necessaery step to seal newly installed drywall or to mask any existing stains, hide an intense existing colour. Other advantages include a smoother finish, prevention of mildew and protection of your topcoat to keep it from peeling.
  • Rollers can be used to paint large, flat surfaces in much less time than it would take using a brush. It is important to paint a room in the right order, i.e : ceilings, walls, woodwork then floor.
  • Make sure to paint evenly so we can get a smooth paint film.
